Palo Verde Response to Generic Letter 83 Items 3.2. 1, 3.2.2 and 4.5.1 Your response to Generic Letter 83-28 was provided by letter dated November 3, 1983, with additional information provided in letters dated December 18, 1984 and April 19, 1985.
Item 3.2. 1 and 3.2.2 of the generic letter requested information concerning test and maintenance procedures and vendor recommendations for other safety-related components relating to the reactor trip function.
Item 4.5. 1 requested information concerning on-line testing of the reactor trip system.
We have completed our review of your responses to Items 3.2. 1, 3.2.2 and 4.5. 1 and find the responses to these items to be acceptable.
The staff's safety evaluation of these matters is provided as Enclosures 1 and 2.
