Dear Mr. Knighton:
Reference (1) submitted a Justification for Interim Operation (JIO) for PVNGS-Unit 1 in order to complete the environmental qualification of eight Target Rock Solenoid Valves.
Accordingly, by the issuance of the Unit 1 Operating License, the staff has imposed license condition C6(b) for ANPP to complete the modifications required to ensure the environmental qualification of the Target Rock Solenoid Valves prior to initial entrance into Mode 3.
ANPP confirms that we have completed the modifications to the Target Rock Solenoid Valves and we now consider these valves environmentally qualified for use at PVNGS in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.49.
Reference (2) submitted a JIO for PVNGS-Unit 1 in order to complete modifications and operability testing of four Anchor Darling Air Operated Valves.
Subsequently, the staff has imposed license condition C18(a) for ANPP to complete the modifica-tions and operability testing of the Anchor Darling Air Operated Valves prior to initial entrance into Mode 3.
ANPP confirms that we have completed the modifica-tions and the operability testing of these four valves and they are now considered qualified for operation at PVNGS-Unit 1.
Reference (3) submitted a JIO for PVNGS-Unit 1 in order to verify the seismic qualification of the two remote shutdown panels.
Subsequently, the staff has imposed license condition C18(c) for ANPP to complete the seismic qualification of the remote shutdown panels prior to initial criticality.
ANPP confirms that we have completed the seismic qualification of the remote shutdown panels.
The remote shutdown panels are now seismically qualified for use at PVNGS.
