RESPONSE
The area listed as "g" contains no safety related equipment susceptible to fire damage.
The only safety-related component within Zone 43 is the essential cooling water heat. exchanger (i.e., the heat exchanger shell).
No significant combustible loading is present.
Therefore, no detectors are required.
Area "d," the computer room adjacent to the control room, has fire detectors to detect fire and activate the Halon suppression system.
Potential dead air spaces between heavy beam ceiling supports have been previously identified and reviewed (through site walkdowns) by the detector supplier.
Additional detectors were added based on air flow and configuration.
The remaining "dead air spaces,"
noted as August 1984 9A-99 Amendment 13
