Comments on NRC Staff Evaluation of the Need for a Rapid Depressurization Capability for CE Plants In your letter of November 7, 1983, you provided your comments and the comments generated by the CE owners group regarding the NRC staff's evaluation, dated September 1983, of the need for a rapid depressurization capability on some of the newer CE plants.
Related comments have also been received from other industry representatives.
As you may be aware, the subject evaluation has not yet reached the stage of representing an NRC staff position since the evaluation is currently being reviewed within NRC.
During the course of this review process, consideration will be given to the comments presented in your letter as well as'he related industry comments that have been received.
In conclusion, we wish to thank you for providing us with the comments.
They will be helpful in reaching an NRC position on the matter.
