'larification of Required Actions Based on Generic Implications of Salem ATWS Events (Generic Letter 83-28) for Palo Verde Units 2 and 3

The staff is in receipt of your letter dated September 8, 1983 regarding a

request for extension of time to submit your formal, 120 day, response to Generic Letter 83-28.

Based on the fact that your facility will not be operating in the near future, the staff is granting your request for extension of the 120 day response until April 1, 1984.

This request for information was previously approved by the Office of Management and Budget under clearance number 3150-0011 which expires April 30, 1985.
