Thi task is about 90~ complete.

The information gathered is being evaluated.

Two potential finding reports (PFHs) were initiated, PFH:2426:007 and OOG (see attached listing).

/K'}f.g. - ~usaf;v ~s,vX."pS,Q ~~v "Kick The evaluation of the hPS audit program was initiated at the APS office complex and is 20$ complete.

Thc review of construction inspection procedures is complete except for preparation and processing of potential finding reports.

Thc.review of inspection records has involved four different engineering disciplines as follows:

o Civil -

One potential finding initiated.

report, PFR:2426:009 was o

Instruments - Two PPRs, PFR:2426:012 and 014, were initiated.

o Piping Spools, Valves, Pumps-One

PFR, PFH:2426:016, was iniatcd.

o Nc'chanical - One PFR

, PFR:2426:010 vas iniated.

Thc review of APS nonconformance system was completed with the exception of the summary report.

Twenty (20) deficiency evaluation reports (DERs) were reviewed to the requirements of the hPS and Bcchtel procedure."..

2 = Rc~n Xz~fssMtm WxX~m Review of Bechtel design procedures is essentially complete.

Three procedural errors were detected.

Pertinen PFHs were.

prepared, processed and a> c in tbe review cycle.

The review of CE documents is not complete, Position response to a letter sent to CE request'ing them to clarify that the quality procedure documents for PVNGS are identical to those for thc San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) indicates that several CE documents have been modified and/or are superseded by other documents.

The actual procedure review ard implementation of those procedures at CE will commence on August 10, 1982 ~

Checklists for implementation of this Subtask for Bechtel items were comp3.eted in San Diego.

Actual implementation of the Subtask at Bechtel began on July 19, and it is expected that the review of all "dditional design documents identified under this Subtask for Bechtcl will be completed by August 6, 1982.

Four PFRs under Subta"k D2 have been identified.

Significant, but not complete documentation, has been received on all items from both Bechtel and CE to date.

The review status of each feature is summarized in Table 1.

Procedure review on Field Design Control Change is complete.

Review of implementation of the procccures for control of field de ign changes is presently underway.

Jg:

Procedure review on As-Built Drawing Control is complete.

~l ~:

The procedure for preparing verification documentation

packages, performing the
walkdown, and asser bling repor ts is under review.

The wa3.kdown is expected to begin August 16.

Documentation for the wallcdown is being assembled and members of the walkdown team have been instructed in the use of the procedure.

As of July 30, 21 potential finding report numbers have been issued.

Pro PFRs were sent to the APS and the remairder are in preparation.

The attached table lists the PFHs which have been identified to date.

r The overall effort; remains about two weeks behind schedu3.e sho~n in the program plan because:

1) documents have been received later than ez>>ected, particularly for the C-E comporents, ard 2) full efforts were not appl'ed while awaiting NRC approval of the p3.an and feature selection.

/

/r Pertinent, manpower applied to the project is shown in Figure 1.

Becau e

of the reported incomplete status of this design and the proprietary nature of much of the information, it may not be possible to perform the review of the CPC as originally pl-nned.-

Ve are reevaluating, the plan in view of the design status and will propose a
