The NRC staff has reviewed the Torrey Pines Technology program plan submitted by your letter to H. Denton on June 15, 1982 and discussed at a meeting on June 29, 1982 for the independent quality assurance evaluation of the PVNGS.
We have also reviewed the revision con-tained in a letter to you from W. Simon of Torrey Pines dated July 2, 1982.
The revision of July 2 reflects the staff comments made at the June 29, 1982 meeting, specifically, the Feature Selection list, page 16 of the Torrey Pines presentation.
With this revision the staff Winds the proposed program plan acceptable.
This letter is to confirm our verbal approval of the plan and our approval to proceed with the evaluation under the revised plan.
