Purpose:
HGEB SER Site Reveiw and Working Meeting to Resolve Questions and Provide Clarifications I.
Resolutions from 'Working Meetin A.
Settlement Monitorin 1.
Spray Pond add four more monitoring points per unit.
2.
Define end of construction as the last pour of concrete in unit.
3.
Monitor settlements every six months for 3 years, after end of construction or after filling the pond.
4.
Monitor every 5 years after the first three year period.
Terminate the monitoring program if settlements are stabilized.
(Main NRC concern is realted to the Control, Radwaste,
- Fuel, and Diesel Generator Buildings).
5.
APS will provide a revised settlement monitoring report to reflect the above changes.
B.
Lateral Pressures l.
APS will provide the design criteria for lateral earth pressures and incorporate into the FSAR, Section 3.8.
(Currently there is no mention of surcharge effects).
2.
Provide an updated stability analysis with reasonable con-servation interpretation of shear strength along the backfill to native soil interface.
3.
Add statements in the FSAR text regarding slope preparation before backfilling.
C.
Li uefaction Anal sis 1.
Provide results of an additional SHAKE analysis to verify that a surface motion derived from a deconvolved deep motion would be the same as the original surface motion.
II.
Schedule Information on these items will be provided by November'1, 1981.
1
