Dear Mr. Tedesco:
We have been performing analyses to demonstrate the integrity of the RCP lube oil system during an SSE.
Preliminary results of this analysis indi-cate that no leakage will occur at the lube oil piping welded joints, but leakage may occur at the non-welded joints.
To meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix R, Item'0, we will install a Seismic Category I lube oil collection system for these potential leakage points (non-welded joints) in the RCP lube oil system.
The design of the collection system has not been sufficiently developed to enable us to forward details to you.
Design details will be forwarded to you when they become available.
