The licensees (FENOC) supplemental information to the license amendment request does address our concerns with regard to EAL HG1.

- Rich, Further to your written comments on the subject license amendment application you provided on August 10, 2017 (ADAMS Accession No. ML17222A219), the NRC communicated with FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC, the licensee) and requested information to resolve your concerns regarding the proposed removal
of emergency action level HG1. The licensee provided supplements on September 7, 2017 (ADAMS Accession No. ML17250B169), and September 20, 2017 (ADAMS Accession No. ML17264A034) to resolve the issue.
Please let me know if the supplemental information addresses your concerns by September 27, 2017, if possible.
