Dear Mr. Vissing:
In Reference (a),
RG&E noted that our anticipated completion date for SQUG/IPEEE commitments was July 1996.
- However, as a result of numerous changes at Ginna Station since that time (e.g. conversion to Improved Technical Specifications, Steam Generator Replacement, 18-month fuel cycle),
our PSA success criteria and fault tree models have all been extensively revised.
As documented in Reference (b), the Ginna Station PSA is expected to be resubmitted by November 15, 1996.
Since we are integrating our SQUG and IPEEE efforts, with input based on the PSA this delay has affected both programs.
We have completed all SQUG walkdowns, and data is now being evaluated.
Our projected schedules for completion are:
