Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Exercise Report for the August 16, 1989 Exercise at the Robert E. Ginna Nuclear Power Station Enclosed is the FEMA Region II exercise report for the August 16, 1989 exercise at the Robert E. Ginna Nuclear Power Station and a letter transmitting the report from FEMA to the NRC, dated July 5, 1990.
There were three deficiencies observed during the exercise which were corrected during a remedial exercise conducted on October 18, 1989.
Twenty-one Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA) were also identified. It is requested that you coordinate with offsite authorities to ensure the ARCAs are corrected.
FEMA continues to consider that offsite emergency preparedness is adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken offsite to protect the health and safety of the public in the vicinity of your site, in the event of a radiological emergency.
