A routine,
unannounced
inspection
was conducted at the Ginna station
on
April 16 to 20,
1990, to review the implementation of the Radiation Protection
Program during the current refueling outage.
Areas reviewed included
organization
and management,
and internal, and external
exposure controls.
The
inspector also provided input to the
NRC Maintenance
Team which was concurrently
conducting
an inspection.
Mithin the scope of the inspection,
one violation was identified. The violation
involved
a failure to set
an administrative
dose limit to an individual in
accordance
with your procedures.
The concern in this matter is not that
an
individual error
had been
made in determining the administrative
dose,
but
rather that your program does not provide supervisory or other type of review in
this area.

how the review process
of this area
will be enhanced.
