Dear Dr. Uhrig:

Me have reviewed the secondary water chemistry monitoring program for St. Lucie Unit No.

2 and have found it acceptable.

Our review is documented in section 10.3.4 of the Safety Evaluation Report for St.

Lucie Unit No.

2 operation dated October 1981.

You state in your letter dated March 29, 1982 (L-82-120) thatthe secondary water chemistry monitoring program in effect for St. Lucie Unit 1 is virtually identical to the St. Lucie Unit 2 program.

Since the program we found acceptable applies to St. Lucie Unit '1 our review of the secon-dary water chemistry monitoring program for St. Lucie Unit 1 is complete.

Sincerely, 0?igmIrel Signed bV:
