held with Mr.

M. Wethy at. the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas

examined

during the

inspect.ion

and our findings are discussed

in the

enclosed

inspection

report..

Within t.hese

areas,

the inspection

consisted

of

selective

examinations

of procedures

and representative

records,

interviews

with personnel,

and observat.ions

by t.he inspectors.

During

the. inspection it

was

found

that

certain activities

under

your

license

appear

to be in noncompliance

with NRC requirements.

This item and

references

to pertinent

requireraents

are listed in the Notice of 'Violation

enclosed

herewith

as

Appendix A.

Corrective actions

to prevent

recurrence

were

completed

prior to

the

conclusion

of this inspection;

therefore,

a

reply is not. requested.

Based

on discussions

during this inspect.ion, it is our understanding

that

you will revise

your surveillance

procedure

to incorporate specific accep-

tance criIeria

and

data

requirements

as

delineated

in the enclosed

report

and will establish written guidelines

for the selection

of

a representative

sample of suppressors

for fun<<I.ional testing.
