This refers to a special inspection conducted by S. G. Du 'Pont and P. D. Kaufman
of this office on July 5 through September 2, 1988, of activities pertaining
to corrective actions to the 1987 Diagnostic Evaluation Team findings at
Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3 authorized by Operating Licenses
No. DPR-19 and No.
DPR~25 and to the discussion of our findin~s with
Mr. E. Eenigenburg and others at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during*
the inspection. Within the~e areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records; observations, and
interviews with personnel..
No violations with NRC*requirements were identified during the course of thi~ .
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790, of the Commission's Regulations, a copy of
this. letter and the enclosure(s) will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
