JUL 2.9 1988 Thank you for your. letter dated July 5, 1988, written in response to Inspection Report 50-237/88009(DRSS); 50-249/88001(DRSS), informing us of your proposed program to control overtime for selected rad/chem technicians at Dresden Station. This program, if properly proceduralized and implemented appears responsive to our stated concern.
However, we disagree, in part, with your stated interpretation of NRC policy concerning this matter.
We also have concerns regarding implementation of the Generic Letter 82-12 guidance for maintenance and other nonoperations personnel, as well as implementation of the guidance at other CECo nuclear power stations.
As suggested in your July 5, 1988 letter, and discussed with you by telephone on July 22, 1988, we would like to meet with appropriate CECo staff members during late August or early September 1988 to review our respective policies in this matter. We-understand that you will coordinate CECo attendance at such a meeting and wil 1 communicate with Wayne Shafer or Robert Greger of my.staff in this regard.
