SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT 1 - DAM SAFETY INSPECTION REPORT (TAC NO. MF5201)
Dear Ms. Hamilton:
Enclosed is a copy of the Dam Safety Inspection Report prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This report contains the results of an inspection performed on April 19, 2017, of the auxiliary reservoir dam at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1. Based on observations made during field inspection, review of data submitted by the owner, and discussions with NRC and licensee representatives, FERC found that the Shearon Harris Auxiliary Reservoir Dam and appurtenant structures were in satisfactory condition and adequately maintained.
The information in the report is considered critical energy infrastructure information. Thus the Enclosure is considered sensitive security-related information, official use only, and is being withheld from public disclosure.
