PREREQUISITES Notify the Shift Supervisor and the appropriate Unit Operator of the intention to isolate the U2 or U3 24/48 VDC battery.

PRECAUTIONS Loss of 24/48 VDC would cause SRM and IRM inoperative trips.

Loss of 24/48 VDC woul~ cause a scram if the mode switch was in startup.

LIMITATIONS AND ACTIONS

1.

None.

.PROCEDURE NOTE There is no need to separate loads on the

, 24/48 VDC battery systems because there is no means of cross tying unit batteries.

To isolate the battery system all that is required is that the 100 amp breakers feeding each of the two ba~t~ry banks be opened. {Figure 3 is a schematic representation of the 24/48 VDC system~).
