By letter dated November 17, 1983, the staff of the Division of Licensing (DL) approved the use of ASME Code Case N-253-2 for application in the construction of the diesel engine exhaust gas expansion joint for the additional new diesel
, generators at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Vnit Nos.
1 and 2.
Fees pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22 for this request were not remitted with your applica-tion dated October 28, 1983 (PLA-1879).
Based on information provided to us by the DL staff as a result of the final review of your request, it has been determined that a Class III fee of $4.000 is appropriate since the review involved consideration of a safety issue.
Since no unit-specific reviews and/or license amendments were required, we have concluded that an exemption, pursuant to 170.11(b),
from the Class I duplicate fee requirement for the second unit is authorized by law and is otherwise in the public interest and is hereby granted in this case; It is requested that your Company remit $4.000 to our office in payment of fees for your October 28 request.
