Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP)
The NRC Region I SALP Board conducted a review on April 27, 1983 to assess the performance of activities associated with the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station.
The results of these assessments are documented in the enclosed SALP Board Reports.
Since Unit 1 has recently completed start-up testing and Unit 2 is still under construction, we have considered each separately.
A meeting has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m.,
May 17, 1983 at the Susquehanna Steam Electric
- Station, Salem Township, Pennsylvania, to provide a forum for candid discussions relating to the performance assessment.
For Unit 1 we have orIPnthKeur assess-ment primarily to operation and that for Unit 2 is oriented toward construction.
Please be prepared to discuss any plans to improve performance.
Any cmanents you have regarding the board report or the SALP process may be discussed at this meeting.
Additionally, you are requested to provide written ceaaents within 20 days of the meeting.
Following the meeting and receipt of your comments, the enclosed report, your response.
and a summary of our findings and planned action will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
