This refers to the routine safety inspection
conducted
by Mr . L. Narrow of $Pis
office on December 1,
1981
and December 7-11,
1981 at Allento>m, Pennsylvania
and
at the Susquehanna
Steam Electric Station, Units
1
and 2, Berwick, Pennsylvania.
That inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and records,
interviews,
and observation of activities.
Findings were discussed
by Mr. Narrow
with Mr. Beckley and other members of your staff at the end of the inspection.
An apparent Violation of NRC requirements is set forth in Appendix A and categorized
by level
as described in Federal
Register Notice 45FR66754 dated
October
7, 1980.
A reply is required; it should be prepared
tn accordance
with the instructions in
Appendix A; it is not subject to the clearance
procedures
of the Office of Manage-
~
ment and Budget under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980,
PL 96-511.
In accordance
