In Reference 1, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) transmitted a revised 10 CFR Part 71 Quality Assurance Program Approval for Radioactive Material Packages (i.e., No. 0008, Revision 13) at the following Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) nuclear stations:

Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 In Reference 2, the NRC transmitted a revised 10 CFR Part 71 Quality Assurance Program Approval for Radioactive Material Packages (i.e., No. 0240, Revision 10) for the following Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. nuclear stations, on Docket No. 71-0240:
Indian Point Nuclear Power Plants, Units 1, 2 and 3 Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant EGC requests that the 10 CFR Part 71 Quality Assurance Program Approval No. 0008 be revised to incorporate the James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant.
With respect to the consolidated Approval No. 0008, EGC requests the following change to the associated NRC Form 311:
- 1) Revise Item 4 of Block 5 Conditions to include:
- James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant EGC is aware that Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. will be submitting a letter to request the removal of James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant from 10 CFR Part 71 Quality Assurance Program Approval No. 0240.
In addition to the above request, as required by 10 CFR 71.101, "Quality assurance requirements," paragraph (f), this letter serves as notification to the NRC that EGC intends to continue to apply previously approved 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B Quality Assurance Programs to 10 CFR Part 71 radwaste packaging and transportation activities for all EGC nuclear power plants, including the James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant.
Fitzpatrick has a site-specific 10 CFR Part 50 Quality Assurance Program Manual (QAPM) that was developed under 10 CFR 50.54(a) from Revision 31 of the NRC-approved common Entergy Part 50 QAPM. In the FitzPatrick Part 50 QAPM, EGC replaced the Entergy corporate organization with the Exelon corporate organization in Chapter 1. This site-specific Part 50 QAPM was effective on April 1, 2017. The remaining Exelon sites are currently operating under Revision 91 of the NRC-approved common 10 CFR Part 50 Quality Assurance Topical Report.
