RACK TO RACK INTERACTION ANALYSIS In a telephone discussion on January 15, 1987 Mr. Tressler of your staff informed us that Pacific Gas and Electric Company is conducting a further analysis of postulated rack to rack interactions for the high density reracking for the Diablo Canyon spent fuel pools.

We understand that this analysis was recently initiated to confirm the results of the previous analysis which was reviewed by the staff and our consultant and found acceptable as stated in our Safety Evaluation Report of May 30, 1986.

Please provide us a summary and the results of this confirmatory analvsis by January 29, 1987.
