This letter is in response to your petition supported by Mr. Hubbard's affidavit dated October 17, 1980, requesting that the Commission prepare a supplemental environmental impact statement concerning the impact of Class 9 accidents at the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant.
Your request has been considered under the provi-sions of 10 CFR 2.206 of the Commission's regulations.
For the reasons stated in the enclosed decision, your request has been denied.
A copy of the Notice of'ssuance of the Director's Decision which is being filed with the Office of Federal Register for publication is also enclosed.
Copies of this decision will be placed in the Commission's Public Document Room at 1717 H Street, N.M., Mashington, D.C.
20555 and in the local public document room for the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant.
A copy will also be filed with the Secretary for the Commission's review in accordance with 10 CFR 2.206(c).
