1988 at the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Unit 2,
Scriba,
New York, of activities authorized
by
NRC License
No.
NPF-69 and to
the discussions
of our findings held by Ms.
Evans with Mr.
R. Smith and other
members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas
examined during this inspection
are described
in the
NRC Region I
Inspection
Report which is enclosed with this letter.
Within these
areas,
the
inspection consisted
of selective
examinations
of procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with personnel,
and observations
by the inspector.
Your attention is directed to an unresolved
item discussed
in Section 3.4 of
the enclosed
report regarding
changes
to the Initial Startup Test Program.
You are requested
to respond to this report within thirty (30) days of the
receipt of this letter, describing
the actions you have taken to resolve this
issue.
Our inspector also verified the steps
you have taken to correct the violation
brought to your attention in the enclosure
to our letter dated August 5,
1987.
We have
no further questions
regarding your action at this time.
This request
for information was approved
