1987 at Nine Mile Point Units
1 and 2, Scriba,
A summary of
the findings was presented
to Mr. T. Perkins
and other
members of your staff
at the conclusion of the inspection.
Based
on our review,
two examples
have
been identified where the Unit 2 staff
failed to comply with station procedures for,system valve lineups
and alarm
responses,
and
as
a result violated
NRC requirements
identified in the enclosed
Notice of Violation (Appendix A).
This violation has
been categorized
by
severity level according to
10 CFR Part 2, Appendix
C (Enforcement Policy).
You are required to respond to this violation and in preparing your response,
you should follow the instructions
in Appendix A.
The response
required
by this letter is not subject to the clearance
procedures
of the Office of Management
and Budget as required
by the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1980,
PL96-511.
