RE(UEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON SALEM ATWS EVENT ITEM 1.2 Re:
Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Unit No. I In order to facilitate our review of the subject item, we are providing you a copy of our contractor's draft Technical Evaluation Report (TER).
The staff has reviewed the TER and feels the report represents our initial judgement on the subject.
We believe that your staff should review the items identified in the TER that represent deviations from the recommended review guidelines and be pr epared to discuss the items in a telecon with the staff in approximately 2 weeks from the receipt of this letter.
The supplemental information provided in the telecon will be factored in the staff Safety Evaluation for your plant.
A copy of our review guidelines are also enclosed for your information.
The reporting and/or recordkeeping requirements contained in this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under P.L.96-511.
