INFORMATION RELATING TO THE DEADLINES FOR COMPLIANCE WITH 10 CFR 50.49 "ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATION OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IMPORTANT TO SAFETY FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS" The enclosed Generic Letter 85-15 on Information Relating to the Deadlines for Compliance with 10 CFR 50.49 was sent to all licensees of operating reactors on August 6, 1985.
It is being sent to you for information.
Since the current fuel load schedule for Nine Mile Point 2 is after November 30, 1985, all electrical equipment subject to 10 CFR 50.49 will be required to meet 10 CFR 50.49 prior to fuel load.
Any concerns relating to the enclosed generic letter should be directed to the Licensing Project Manager, Mary Haughey (301) 492-7897.
