Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Unit No.
1 Enclosed is a copy of the interim report prepared by our contractor,
- INEL, on your conformance to Regulatory Guide (R.G.) 1.97, Rev.
2 based on your April 2, 1984 submittal.
We have reviewed your submittal and conclude that you have provided an explicit commitment on conformance to R.G.
1.97 with the exception of those items identified by you.
Further, it is concluded that your justifications for exceptions to R.G.
1.97 for some items are acceptable.
However, there are some items that INEL has identified as not being suitably justified.
Please provide a response to the items that were identified within 60 days of receipt of this letter.
You also should comment on the report with regard to any incorrect assumptions or commitments beyond the intent of your response.
The reporting and/or recordkeeping requirements of this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under P.L.96-511.
