Gray File By letter dated August 14, 1984 you submitted the potential effects of turbine missiles at Nine Mile Point, Unit No. 1.
We have completed our review and find that your evaluation has satisfied applicable Regulatory Guides and Standard Review Plans, regarding the turbine missile issue.
To limit the potential turbine missile generation, General Electric, manufacturer of the Nine Mile Point, Unit No.
1 turbine, recommended that the turbine be inspected at a six year interval.
Your next major inspection is scheduled in 1988.
We understand that General Electric is reassessing its recommendations and intends to provide you a long-term inspection schedule after the evaluation of 1982 inspection results is completed.
We find this acceptable.
A copy of our Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
