SAFETY EVALUATION, REVIEW OF THE PROCESS CONTROL PROGRAM Re:

Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Unit No.

1 By letter dated March 26, 1985, you submitted your Process Control Program (PCP) that delineates the waste solidification process for the facility for our review and approval.

We have completed our review and find that the PCP contains adequate provisions for the waste solidification process at the facility and, therefore, is acceptable and may be used as an attendant part of the Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (RETS).

Should any revision of the staff guidance with regard to compliance with 10 CFR Part 61 be forthcoming, actions with regard to the PCP would be treated as a separate licensing action.
