SUMMARY
OF MEETING WITH NIAGARA MOHAWK POWER CORPORATION (NMPC)
ON MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ISSUES On June 5 through 7, 1984 the NRC staff met with representatives from Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation (NMPC), as well as representatives form Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation (SWEC) and General Electric (GE), at the SWEC offices in Cherry Hill, N.J. to discuss Mechanical Engineering issues for Nine Mile Point 2.
The basis for discussion was the list of issues and NRC staff positions identified in Enclosure 1 of the March 12, 1984 letter to Gerald K. Rhode from A. Schwencer on the SER Review Meeting for Nine Mile Point, Unit 2.
For the majority of the issues, identified as 210. 17 through 210.63, acceptable responses were discussed and agreed upon and will be submitted by NMPC as an amendment to the FSAR.
Enclosure one identifies those items for which responses have not been agreed to or are confirmatory.
For those items which are still open, action is required by the NRC or NMPC as identified in the enclosure.
Enclosure 2 contains a list of attendees at the three day meeting.
