Dear Mr. Hooten,
By copy of the letter dated Hay ll, 1984 to Dr. Thomas A. Hurley from Mr. William Donlon we were informed of your new position as Executive Director, Nuclear Operation at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation (NMPC) and of the new position of Hr. J.
A. Perry as Director of guality Assurance at NHPC.
In that letter it was stated that appropriate amendments to the applications would be submitted.
In our letter of March 28, 1984 we indicated that the guality Assurance section (Chapter
- 17) of the draft Safety Evaluation Report (SER) for Nine Mile Point 2 would not be provided until the FSAR was amended to incorporate changes in the management organization for the Nine Mile Point 2 project as indicated in the letter dated January 27, 1984 to Dr. Thomas E. Hurley.
Those changes as well as new positions of yourself and Hr. J.
A. Perry and the subsequent effects on the organizational structure should be reflected in an amendment to the FSAR.
Within 21 days of receipt of this letter please provide by letter, the schedule for incorporation of these changes in the FSAR.
Of major concern is the impact of the HAC infusion on the Nine Mile Point 2 project organization at the operational stage.
A discussion of the impact at the operational stage should be included in your letter to be provided in 21 days and a appropriate in the FSAR when amended.
