RA As part of our review in preparation for the Safety Evaluation Report - OL
- stage, we will be conducting a Structural Design Audit of Nine Mile Point 2
from December 12, 1983 to December 16, 1983.
The audit is to be conducted in accordance with the guidelines of Appendix B to the SRP Section 3.8.4.
This design audit will consist of a review of design reports and drawings; discussion of special or unique design features; detail analysis results and computer codes and determination of the extent of conformance to applicable design criteria, codes and standards.
Prior to the audit, the NRC audit team plans to visit the plant on November 29, 1983 to familiarize its members with the structural aspects of the plant.
Such a plant visit has significantly helped the implementation of the audit work.
A meeting notice with a copy of the audit guideline attached is enclosed for preparation for the structural design audit.
This information was provided to Norm Rademacher of your staff during the structural meeting on September 28, 1983 in Bethesda.
The above schedules have also been discussed with Mr. Rademacher.
