Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Quality Assurance Program In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.55, your letter dated June 10, 1983, forwarded to us revisions to Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation's Appendix D (Quality Assurance Program) to the Unit 2 PSAR.
As a result of the August 9, 1983, telephone conversation between Mr. Dave Palmer of your staff and Ms. N. Cogan of this office, it is our understanding that, with regard to Section D.2.18, Audits, of the PSAR, all required audits will be conducted an a planned and sche~ue~asis.
As a result of our review and the above referenced te'lephone conversation, we find your proposed changes to be acceptable.
The effectiveness of your Quality Assurance program implementation will continue to be the subject of routine.Region I inspections.
