This will acknowledge receipt of your letter, dated October 2, 1981, and the enclosed check in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars in full payment of the civil penalty proposed in the NRC Notice, dated September 2, 1981.
With regard to the corrective action implemented since the July 29, 1981 occurrence which requires that management meetings be held with each shift, it is our understanding that, based on a telephone call between you and the Region I office on October 13, 1981, you have agreed that the General Superintendent will be the principal management participant in the subject meetings.
Your corrective actions will be reviewed during future inspections at the Nine Mile Point Unit 1 Nuclear Station.
