This refers to your May 20, 1980 application for amendment to Operating License DPR-63 for Nine Mile Unit 1, which was filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation
{ONRR) for review.
The application proposed a Technical Specification change concerning the use of the term "operable" as it applies to the single failure criterion for safety systems in.power reactors.
A fee pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22 was not remitted with your app'tication.
Based on information provided to us by the ONRR staff as a result of their preliminary review of your request, ONRR has determined that your request will involve consideration of a single safety issue requiring a significant safety review.
Therefore, a Class III fee of $4,000 is applicable and should be remitted to our office.
