APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on January 23-26, 1979, it appears that one'of your activities was not conducted in full compliance with the conditions of your NRC Facility License No.
DPR-63, as indicated below.
This item has been categorized as an infraction.
Technical Specification 4.3.7.a.(2) requires that at least once per quarter operability of the four containment spray pumps shall be checked.
Contrary to the above, data from the most recent surveillance test, performed November ll-, 1978, contained pump capacity values, which for two of the four pumps tested, did not meet the acceptance criteria as set forth in Surveillance Procedure NI-ST-(6, Contain-ment Spray and Raw llater Pumps Operability Test.
The above surveil-lance test had been reviewed by the Operations Department and signed as acceptable.
