Subject:
NRC Examinations at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant On February 5 - 9, 1990, the NRC administered examinations to employees of your company who had applied for licenses to operate your Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.
As a result of these examinations, ten Senior Reactor Operator candidates were found to meet the minimum qualification requirements for licensing.
Two individual operators were administered retake requalification examinations for portions of those examinations that were not successfully completed during the May 1989 requalification examinations.
Both individuals passed those retake examinations.
At the conclusion of the examinations on February 9, 1990, the examination process and preliminary findings were discussed with members of your staff as detailed in the enclosed report.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy of this letter and enclosure (1) and (2) will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
Enclosure (3) is Personal Privacy Information and will be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 9.5(a)(6).
