DISCRIMINATION COMPLAINT OF SAFMAT GABALLAH Gentlemen:
By telephone on July 5, 1989 and by letter of July 6,
- 1989, PG&E attorney Richard F. Locke informed this office that PG&E had been sued in California Superior Court by Safwat Gaballah, a former Bechtel employee who alleged that he had been discharged from his employment for bringing safety concerns regarding Diablo Canyon to the attention of PG&E personnel.
Please provide this office, within thirty days of the date of this letter, a
response which explains the basis for the employment action regarding the former employee and includes a copy of any investigation reports you have regarding the circumstances of the action.
After reviewing your response, the NRC will determine whether enforcement action is necessary at this time to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room.
The response requested by this letter is not subject to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, Pub.
