NRC ENFORCEMENT CONFERENCE This will confirm the telephone conversation between Mr. Dave Miklush of your staff and Mr. Robert Pate of this office on February 26, 1990, concerning the scheduling of an enforcement conference to be held at the Diablo Canyon Power Plant between NRC management and the management of Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
It is our understanding that the conference will convene at approximately 08:30 a.m.,
March 16, 1990.
The following matters will be discussed:
1.
The apparent violations identified during the last security inspection at Diablo Canyon, February 5-9, 1990, in the areas of:
Access control; Alarm stations; Compensatory measures; Testing and maintenance; Vital Area Barriers; Protection of Safeguards Information; and Communications.
With the exception of the area
'of testing and maintenance, all apparent violations were licensee identified.
2.
NRC enforcement options.
3.
NRC concerns.
4.
Licensee corrective actions and comments.
We anticipate that the entire meeting will take approximately two hours.
