With your applications dated March 20 and 22, 1989, you remitted two checks for $ 150 each.
These applications were for changes to the Technical Specifications relating to Administrative Controls and Seismic Trip for the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos.
1 and 2.
The enclosed revisions to 10 CFR 170 that became effective on January 30, 1989, deleted the requirement for a
$150 application fee for reactor applications and topical reports.
Therefore, a
$ 150 check does not need to be remitted with future applications.
As an administrative convenience, we are not refunding the
$300 to you.
Instead we will give credit for it when an invoice is issued for review of these applications.
Let us know if this is not acceptable to you.
