FOR DIABLO CANYON (TAC NOS.
56117 AND 68040)
Enclosed is the TER prepared by a staff contractor, SAIC, concerning the Diablo Canyon DCRDR.
The TER is based on your Supplemental Summary Report (SSR) dated November 3, 1987 and the conference call of January 13, 1988.
The staff concurs with the evaluations and conclusions in the TER.
In summary, the TER concludes that the SSR is incomplete with respect to Human Engineering Discrepancy (HED) assessment, and selection of design improvements.
Also enclosed is a request for additional information which resulted from our contractor's review.
We request that you complete the HED assessment process and document the proposed corrective actions for HEDs before providing the requested information.
- Further, we request that you respond to this RAI within 90 days of receipt of this letter.
