SECURITY PLAN EVALUATION REPORT (Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1
& 2)
In reqards to your submittal of May 25, 1977 as revised June 3, 1977, June 15, 1977, June 29, 1977, July 22, 1977, December 29, 1977, January 31, 1978 and March 16, 1978, we would like to inform you that the review and evaluation of the "Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2 Security Plan" has been completed.
We conclude that the physical security plan for your facility, when fully implemented, will provide the protection needed to meet the general performance requirements of 10 CFR 73.55(a) and the objectives of the specific requirements of 10.CFR 73.55, paragraphs (b) through (h) and, therefore, is acceptable.
The approved security plan for the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2 will be incorporated in the facility's operating license and will become effective upon issuance of the operating license by the Commission.
The enclosed Security Plan Evaluation Report (SPER) represents our evaluation and acceptance of your physical security plan.
The SPER is proprietary information and is being withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(d).
This is the same document that was presented to the Atomic Safetv and Licensing Board during the in camera hearings on security.
When all aspects of your approved plan have been fully implemented, we
