This letter concerns unescorted access of NRC contractor employees to your facilities for the purpose of observing your annual emergency exercise.
Access to the site will be required intermittently from October 29 through November 1,
1984
'he team members have been listed in the enclosure to this letter.
The NRC Region V members of the team were included in attachment 1 to the February 1,
1984 letter sent to you that concerned admittance of NRC personnel to your facility. I am requesting that the NRC contractor personnel identified in the enclosure to this letter be issued no escort required picture badges as authorized by 10 CFR 73.55(d)(5) for prompt access to all areas of your facility.
The Department of Energy (DOE) "Q" and "L" clearances equal or exceed your screening requirements.
The NRC contractor employees identified in the enclosure to this letter should be provided site specific training in radiological protection, emergency response and security comparable to that furnished by you to regular site employees granted unescorted access.
