Evaluation of Shift hdvisor Examinations at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant Qn hpril 9 through 11, 1984 and on hpril 24 and 25, 1984, the NRC evaluated the qualification, training, and examination of Shift hdvisor candidates for the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1.
hs a result of this evaluation the performance of the Training Department of Diablo Canyon vas determined to be adequate to ensure that the Shift hdvisors meet the minimum qualifications recoamended by the industry.
The training program, including quiues and examinations, administered to the Shift hdvisor candidates vas determined to be adequate to assure that the hdvisors had sufficient lmovledge of the Diablo Canyon procedures, technical specifications, and safety related plant systems to adequately perform their duties.
ht the conclusion of the audit on hpril 11 and 25, 1984, the findings vere discussed vith members of your staff as detailed in the enclosed report.
