PMorrill In a meeting with you on May p, 1983 we discussed, among other issues, eight allegations that had been made by an anonymous individual regarding the Diablo Canyon design verification effort.

At the conclusion of the meeting we requested that you provide us with'any additional information on these matters as you would determine to be appropriate.

Based on our review of the transcriIpt and in order to establish an auditable record we request that you address each of the allegations in'writing.

You should state if a particular concern, based on your understanding of that concern, is valid or not and provide your bases.

If a particular concern is addressed in your internal program or in the IDVP you should state when and how the concern was raised and included in the effort. If a concern is valid but not addressed in the verification effort you should discuss how it is being resolved.

Please provide the requested information within two weeks after receipt of this letter.
