INSPECTION REPORT 05000483/2016002)
Dear Mr. Diya:
On August 12, 2016, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) cited Union Electric
Companys failure, in the case of a condition adverse to quality, to promptly identify and correct
the condition as required by 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, Criterion XVI, Corrective Action. The
Notice of Violation, enclosed with Inspection Report 05000483/2016002 (ML16225A577),
required you to respond in writing within 30 days. You responded by letter dated September 9,
2016 (ML16253A225).
We have reviewed your response and find that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. We
will review your corrective actions during a future inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be
made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from
the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access Management System (ADAMS), which is accessible
from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic
Reading Room).
