UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 Mr. Benjamin C. Waldrep Site Vice President Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant 5413 Shearon Harris Road M/C HNP01 New Hill, NC 27562-0165 August 23, 2016

SUBJECT:

SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT 1 - CORRECTION LETTER FOR AMENDMENTS 25 AND 120 TO THE RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE

Dear Mr. Waldrep:

This letter corrects technical specification (TS) pages from two previously issued amendments.

On March 26, 1991, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 25 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-63 for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1 (Harris) (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML020580181 ). The amendment relocated certain numerical values for several cycle-specific core operating limits and restrictions from the Harris TSs to the existing Harris Core Operating Limits Report. The amendment number was included on pages 3/4 6-16 and 3/4 8-40, but the amendment number was inadvertently crossed out. This letter corrects Amendment 25 to clearly identify the amendment number on these pages.

On March 8, 2006, the NRC issued Amendment No. 120 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-63 for Harris (ADAMS Accession No. ML060580147). The amendment revised the footnotes in Tables 3.4-2 and 4.4-3 of TS 3/4.4.7 by increasing the temperature limit above which (1) reactor coolant sampling and analysis for dissolved oxygen is required, and (2) when limit for dissolved oxygen, specified in TS 4.4.7, applies. The amendment number was inadvertently left off of the TS amendment pages 3/4 4-27 and 3/4 4-28. This letter corrects Amendment 120 to include the amendment number on these pages.

The NRC staff concludes that the errors were introduced during the preparation of the license amendments and are entirely editorial in nature. The corrections do not change any of the conclusions in the safety evaluations associated with the amendments referenced above and do not affect the associated notices to the public. Enclosed, please find the corrected replacement pages.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call me at (301) 415-2760.
